If there’s one component of Halo that has remained consistent across the series, it’s multiplayer. For many fans of the franchise, the multiplayer of Halo is one of the strongest elements the series has to offer and a large reason why that’s the case is the large variance in map selection. With so many memorable multiplayer maps, spanning over several franchise entries, some certainly stand out more than others. This led one fan to diligently recreate one of the most memorable maps in the entirety of Halo using a surprising method.

Over on Reddit, a user named BenjsBuilds managed to recreate the Zanzibar map from Halo 2 using LEGO pieces. According to the user, the creation took almost 17,000 pieces to build, and the finished product is quite the sight to behold. Practically all the scenic landmarks and aspects of Zanzibar are included in this recreation.
While Zanzibar is originally a Halo 2 map, it also got an updated version in Halo 3 called Last Resort. Given the similarities between the two maps, as well as the top-down perspective of the LEGO build, it’s hard to know which version of the map the creation pulls from the most. In any case, it’s still an impressive creation that could only benefit further from a couple of Spartan minifigures to populate the map.
It’s amazing that Halo has continued to have such a strong impact on so many players after so long. The fact that Halo 2 was released almost twenty years ago and is still managing to influence fans of the series to this day is indicative of a truly unique experience in gaming. Not to mention how this user likely spent days building a LEGO version of one of Halo’s best multiplayer maps.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Halo going forward. So far, Halo Infinite has managed to have a mostly positive impact on the community, but the current lack of in-game content makes it somewhat difficult for players to engage with. In addition, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is still suffering from major desync issues.
