RELATED: Halo Infinite: 5 Things We Already Know (& 5 Very Likely Possibilities)

The weapons of Halo vary in appearance and effectiveness. Oddly enough, the most memorable weapons aren’t the most powerful. Unique designs and how they are used in combat make them unforgettable. 343 Industries is on the wrong track if they don’t include most of these weapons in the upcoming Halo. These are ten weapons we want to see in Halo Infinite.

10 Needler

The Needler is one of Halo’s most iconic weapons. It fires automatically without the need for charging. Upon impact, the Needer’s needles stick to its target, followed by a controlled pink explosion. It is potentially devastating in multiplayer or against irksome Covenant like Elites and Grunts. What’s better than having a Needler? Well, try dual-wielding for a change. Halo Infinite should only update this weapon’s appearance.

9 Sniper Rifle

The sniper rifle is a recurring weapon in the Halo series that is designed for medium to long ranges. It works well with the magnum as a secondary weapon. Since the sniper rifle drains its target’s shield, switching to a gun like a pistol afterward works well. It has a variable scope, making it ideal for distant shots. Although very similar to the Beam Rifle, we love the design and performance of the sniper rifle more.

8 Shotgun

The shotgun is arguably the best close-quarters weapon in Halo. Its stopping power is more than you could ask for. The shotgun is considered even better than the Energy Sword because it has the potential to be faster. While your player has to move with the Energy Sword, this weapon can defeat opponents from short distances.

We love the design of the Halo: Combat Evolved shotgun, but also later versions like the Halo 2: Anniversary shotgun. An infinite number of reasons suggest that the shotgun should be in Halo Infinite.

7 Energy Sword

When we first encountered the Energy Sword in Halo: Combat Evolved, we became fascinated with the golden Sword Elite and the beam of energy that it wielded. It wasn’t until Halo 2 that players could use the Energy Sword. It was an ingenious addition on the part of developer Bungie.

The Energy Sword is essential when playing the multiplayer mode Infection. It’s a memorable weapon that deserves a rightful place in Halo Infinite.

6 Plasma Grenade

A fist full of blue light is all you need to take down the toughest opponents. It takes a combination of practice and sheer luck to tag an opponent with a Plasma Grenade. Taking down other Spartans and UNSC infantry requires only one plasma grenade, but vehicles and tougher enemies like Hunters might need more than one. Halo Infinite wouldn’t be Halo if it didn’t contain the Plasma Grenade.

5 Halo CE Pistol

Some might claim that the Halo: Combat Evolved pistol is overpowered and spoils matches. You could be right, as the Halo: Combat Evolved pistol drastically shifts the dynamics of Halo. Perhaps the gun should be nerfed to have less power. It shouldn’t, however, be as weak as the magnum in Halo.

We’re hoping that the Halo: Combat Evolved pistol is smartly integrated into Halo Infinite. Perhaps it should be limited to specific game modes and not be a widely accessible weapon, as seen in Halo 5: Guardians.

4 DMR

Halo Infinite weapons are going to need to capture the essence of the original games, yet they will have to introduce new weapons. The DMR was a great addition to Halo: Reach, which later became a part of the main series. Its powerful semi-automatic firing makes it an outstanding weapon. It could be said that the DMR is an overpowered weapon. It might require balancing when it appears in Halo Infinite.

3 Gravity Hammer

Every now and then, a Halo weapon becomes the foundation for a new game mode. In this case, the Gravity Hammer is used for the popular Griffball game mode. What began as a community game variant, later became a core game mode in Halo.

Halo’s developers are more in touch with their community than most other developers are. They are continually reintroducing new modes that reach acclaim in the Halo community. It goes without saying that the Gravity Hammer should be in Halo Infinite, as well as Griffball.

2 Plasma Pistol

The appearance of the Plasma Pistol has changed over the years, but its functionality remains the same. This Covenant weapon is most effective at short to medium range.

Since the Plasma Pistol can stun vehicles and drain an opponent’s shield, it is highly effective. It is recommended to use the Plasma Pistol in combination with weapons like the magnum, DMR, or battle rifle. This weapon is less powerful than other Halo weapons but has great potential because of its charged shots.

1 Assault rifle

Throughout the Halo video game series, Master Chief is the central character of the story. If we had to choose one weapon that Master Chief is most associated with, it would have to be the assault rifle. This UNSC weapon is air-cooled and gas-powered. This standard weapon is not heavily powered, but it is a reliable all-around sturdy assault rifle. It would be a loss for the series if it didn’t bring the assault rifle to Halo Infinite.
